I won my first writing competition at age eight, and have been hooked on storytelling ever since—with over 20 years of professional experience working with some of New York and Florida’s top publications, including The New York Post, Allure, NYLON, NYLON Guys, Cosmopolitan, Redbook, Seventeen, Family Circle, Parents, Parents Latina, American Baby, Fit Pregnancy & Baby, YM, CosmoGirl, Ocean Drive, Page Six Magazine, Inside TV, Modern Bride, DRAFT, UT Journal, Naples Illustrated, and Serendipity.

My job at Page Six Magazine had me booking 50 celebrity covers and 75-100 inside celebrity features a year, while also writing stories. I’ve conceptualized, written, and edited four of Seventeen’s special issues for Hearst. I was the launch writer of the “Everything Pregnancy” blog for Parents.com—which became the most-read blog on the site in its first year, and I launched the “My Family Life” column (later becoming “Star Turn”) in Family Circle, which ran for over 13 years. For that, I booked and interviewed stars like Amy Poehler, Cameron Diaz, Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, Tim McGraw, Jack Black, Debra Messing, Lisa Kudrow, Luke Bryan, and Mark Wahlberg.

I booked celebrities for—and helped conceptualize the videos for—Allure.com’s “Pretty Powerful” series, which had a focus on beauty and fitness. I wrote native copy in NYLON for large brands, like Reebok and Clinique, and for AT&T for Time Inc. Custom Publishing. I wrote band bios for large record companies such as Epic and Universal Records and wrote for Latina audiences at Parents Latina and inside Seventeen magazine’s Quinceañeara special. I’ve written for Modern Bride and The Knot—publications focused on the multi-billion-dollar wedding industry.

I self-published a children’s picture book for picky eaters called “Kitties Don’t Eat Quesadillas” (illustrated by my son), with 50 percent of the proceeds being split between North Shore Animal League America and Rock N’ Rescue. The follow-up, “Kitties Don’t Wear Astronaut Costumes,” has 50 percent of the proceeds of the book and merchandise (t-shirts, totes, and pins) being split between A Kitten Place cat rescue in Brandon, FL, and Pepin Academies, a special-needs school in Riverview, FL.

I inherently know how to package stories in fun-size bits that readers will devour. I have written for large national publications with millions of readers, catering to teens, beauty-, fashion- and fitness-conscious women, brides, pregnant women, moms, and Latinas—across age ranges from Boomers down to Generation Alpha. I know what they like to wear, what—and whom—they listen to, and what things they want to buy (even before they do!).
